If you are a fan, then there are some facts that you can not miss in order to call yourself an expert. Here are the top 6 tidbits you might have missed about the Marvel world. 

1. The Captain America Was Up For Grabs

The current Captain American, Chris Evans, refused the role three times. It was Robert Downey Jr. that eventually convinced him to take the job. Despite feeling that the acting gig would lead to fame and infringe on his personal life, Evans finally accepted it.  Second in line for the part were John Krasinski and Ryan Phillippe. 

2. Chris Pratt Loses It

Before Chris Pratt become a stud in the Marvel universe as Peter Quill from the Guardians of the Galaxy he was the plump funny guy on the sitcom Parks and Recreation. Preparing for the role led him to lose 60 pounds in 6 months. This allowed him to beat the competition and get the job from other hopeful actors like Joseph Gordon-Levitt. 

3. Spiderman Went Back to School

Not many Marvel fans know how much preparation goes into some of their favorite characters. For example, Tom Holland, geared up for his role in Spider-Man by going back to high school. 4. The Hulk Got Replaced 

Avengers movies are one of the most sought-after roles in Hollywood. So, when you are known for being difficult to work with you could get bumped. This happen to Edward Norton after the director of the Avengers, Joss Whedon, heard of his attitude. Norton claimed he just “wanted more diversity,” however, it did not help as he was replaced by Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk. 

5. James Bond Was Almost Thor

Being an established celebrity in the cinematic universe, Daniel Craig was offered the role of Thor initially. He turned it down because of his contract with another James Bond movie. Chris Hemsworth accepted the job and become famous in his own right. 

6. Movie Stars Leak Movie Plots

One of the most interesting movie facts is that many Marvel stars tend to spill the beans. For instance, Tom Holland was not allowed to have the Avengers: Infinity War script because he revealed too much before the Spider-Man: Homecoming came out. And Mark Ruffalo had to be given a fake script because he was so bad at keeping Marvel movie secrets.
