Go Glamping
Glamping Zion National Park is such a unique way to see the park. Not only do you get to see some of the beautiful areas, but you get to stay overnight to see the stars and enjoy the beautiful scenery. You can stay in luxury bungalows, relax outside, and even make some delicious S’mores by the fire.
Drive the Zion-Mount Carmel Highway
The Zion-Mount Carmel Highway runs through the park from the South Entrance to the East entrance. It winds high above the valley, which gives you sweeping views of the entire valley from side to side. If you are afraid of heights, this drive may not be for you as it hugs the side of the cliff as it continues to climb up. If you are going through with an RV, you will have to pay a fee to pass through the tunnel on this drive because they have to hold traffic coming from the other way since it is too narrow with an RV.
Go to Angels Landing
Angels Landing is one of the many trails inside the park, but this one is one of the more popular ones. You will travel up about 1,400 feet during this hike. It is 5.4 miles round trip If you are afraid of heights, you may not want to go to the top as you will be using chains to grip to help you climb.
Take a Stroll on Riverside Walk
Riverside Walk is a scenic 2-mile round trip walk. If you are taking the Zion shuttle bus, this is the last stop on that route. On the trail, you’ll pass hanging gardens along the water’s edge. You will see beautiful waterfalls as well as wildlife along the trail.
Visit the Human History Museum
If you want to spend some time indoors while at Zion National Park, you can visit the Human History Museum. Here, you can learn about the history of the National Park, as well as learn about American Indian culture and the original pioneer settlements.
Do a Canyon Trail Ride
In the warmer months, you have the option to go horseback riding for an hour on one of the scenic trails in the park. If you want to do a longer ride, you have to be more experienced.
